Genesis Drug Discovery and Development (GD3), a member of the Genesis Biotechnology Group, is a fully integrated CRO providing services to support drug discovery programs. Our services include: drug target discovery through IND filing and management of Phase I clinical trials. The GD3 portfolio also includes services for HTS and assay development, synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry DMPK/in-vivo pharmacology and safety toxicology as well clinical trial services for the regulatory approval of novel drug and medical device products. GD3 operates seven business units across the United States and one in Hungary.

We are seeking professionals who would like to initiate a business career serving startup, biotechnology and pharmaceutical customers. Successful candidates will promote Comparative Bioscience’s (CBI) portfolio of drug discovery/ development services to develop new business from inbound leads (web traffic, marketing leads) and to grow existing accounts. The incumbent must be able to physically conduct their duties at the CBI study site in Sunnyvale, CA. The incumbent may also occasionally work remotely from their home office.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve a comprehensive understanding of CBI services and familiarity with GD3’s services.
  • Contact inbound inquiries in a timely manner, collect information and qualify opportunities.
  • Ability to recognize the needs of the customer and collaborate with scientific management of the CBI and other GD3 sites to develop proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, good judgment and ability to communicate with a diverse range of professionals from the Drug Discovery and Development community (managing directors, clients, consultants, legal teams, scientists).
  • Possess or develop strong motivation to expand the existing expertise into new business areas
  • Maintain accuracy of service listing on third party platforms (e.g. [please apply online] [please apply online] etc.)
  • Evaluate Request for Proposals (RFPs) and collaborate with necessary individuals to complete these proposals.
  • Document all sales activities in Client Resource Management (CRM) system.
  • Establish Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Master Service Agreements (MSA), and related agreements when appropriate.
  • Schedule and co-ordinate meetings between stakeholders and sponsors. Take meeting notes and manage sales process by setting expectations and timelines.
  • Operate in a matrix environment with stakeholders to generate and issue quotes/ SOWs.
  • Compile weekly and monthly sales reports using Hubspot data.
  • Strive to meet assigned operational efficiency and sales goals.
  • Participate in training sessions.
  • Solicit client feedback when projects close and identify follow-on study/ cross-sell opportunities.
  • Co-ordinate marketing activities to increase inbound sales (e.g. online advertisements, content development)


Qualifications

  • University degree
  • Prior employment in preclinical CRO, conducting IND enabling studies.
  • Must reside in California
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills.
  • Ability to become adept using CRM.
